Classic & Professional Heating Elements 1

Our newest generation of tire warmers has gone through a radically re-design to treat the tire more carefully and with these objectives:

  • Heat the tire in more gradual way – keeps the surface temperature of the heating element lower. This will not cause such a big chemical reaction from the tire (which can show blue lines on the tire)
  • Heat more evenly to have greater consistency across the tire surface
  • Insulate more effectively – to help drive the heat into the carcass and get as close to a true hot pressure as possible

We have accomplished these goals by changing the following:

  • Totally re-designed heating element which is ½ the diameter of our standard element. This produces a much greater density (instead of 85’ of heating element this design has 185’ of heating element).  The result is a slightly slower heat up, lower surface temperatures and more even heating (takes an additional 15 minutes to heat soak when heating a cold tire).
  • Proprietary Felted Insulation made of an Aramid fiber is added to retain heat
  • DTC5 Temperature Controller (see below)

Features of the CHR DTC-5 Digital Temperature Controller:

  • LCD to display:
    • Set point
    • Current temperature
    • Heat ON
    • Run Time counter
    • Slow mode when selected
    • Fused for safety
  • Can easily be changed from Celsius to Fahrenheit degrees
  • Maximum amperage is 8 amps at 120v
  • Temperature Range is from 40-225F
  • Soaking Program Option – With the Slow Mode selected you can increase the heat more gradually so the tire can be heat soaked in a controlled manner
  • The controller can be mounted directly to the Tire Warmer or via cable and quick connect
  • Power supply cord to be a quick disconnect cord
